Anyone heard anything lately about the Corbett/swimming pool project?

The design of it is being finished up and i believe that its just waiting on finalization of funding but i would have to check on that.

I believe it is being shevled for the time being due to the new RAC expansion. This is a bummer for a program that really needs a new facility.

I agree. Total bummer because the whole Corbett building sucks and is really outdated. They ought to just renovate that whole building and make it nice.

Slightly OT: Are they currently renovating Half Acre? They kept talking about it when I still in school a couple years ago.

i hardly know the campus anymore from when I went there from 88-93, love the upgrades I've been seeing

Yes, phase 1 is almost done (first half of the building). Why they didn't tie a new competition pool in with this project like most major universities have is beyond me.

Well they probably didn't put a competition pool in Half because it's a student facility, not an athletics facility. What did Phase I consist of?

That's not a valid point. These are some of the top swim facilities in the country at Missouri, Iowa, and GT. All of these are apart of student rec centers on campus.
