25,000. First game of the season after a bowl win, new look for the stadium, $20 tickets, night game. Labor day weekend may or may not be a good thing, though. Either way, I think this one is going to be big.

I wish I could guess as high as 25K, it will probably be closer to 20K though. Wyo fans are just so fickle and will use the excuses of Labor Day, hunting, whatever and I imagine a lot are saving for the BSU game so I guess closer to 20K.

I hear that all hotels in laramie are sold out for the first 3 games this season*. I'm not sure what that means for attendance, but it could be much, much worse.

* Note: This is just second hand information from a friend, I really don't know how to confirm this.

I'm picking 23,500 for the season opener.

last i checked only a couple hotels were advertising rooms available...the best laramie inn (old hojo) and the econolodge...everything on grand is all booked up

this was several days ago, so things have probably changed since then...i'm sure it will be a rockin good time

edit: hotel name fail

McKinney said in the Laramie Paper today...the "target" is now 20K, and UW is short about 150 from achieving 8000 season tickets sold.

I know that UW wants all the Sept games possible...but we should travel on Labor Day each year.
