Pre-Game Scrimmage this Saturday

I was reading over Gagliardi's weekly chat this morning, and I noticed a cool little announcement that I hadn't heard before so I thought I'd share:

Just to let any of you know if you are coming to Saturday's game that the men's basketball team will be playing in the AA from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. It's not an organized practice, and no coaches will be there. But I've been told that players will have names on the backs of their jerseys so people can tell who is who and get at look at some of the newcomers. Also been told the team will do the same from 10:30-noon prior to the New Mexico game Sept. 26.

That would be awesome to see! I wish I was gonna be there.
 
Well that was shut down rather quickly... I guess it's against NCAA rules. God, is it November yet?! I wanna see them in action so bad
 
It got shut down? How does it violate NCAA rules? Can we not go watch them at Half Acre? Theres not coaches or official press...Is it because its in the AA?
