Here's Wyoming's problem. 3rd highest paid HC in the conference and 10th highest paid asst. staff. Burman fucked up and overpaid DC and didn't save enough to get a better level of asst. coaches. Boise St asst coaches combined salary 2,375,541. Wyoming's 924,024. Others- AFA 1,340,525, CSU 1,560,000, SDST 1,423,708, Fresno 1,275,400, NM 1,185,000 after that it starts leveling out with the remaining teams left. And we wonder why the Poke's get out coached in so many games.

Bowden has gone JC-heavy at Akron for a quick fix. Not sure I agree with that.....Wyoming doesn't want to fire CDC only to hire its own version of Steve Fairchild.

Is Wyoming OK with Applewhite? Wasn't he in trouble at Texas for screwing a student a few years back? I think it was at a bowl game in Arizona.

Okay, I seen coordinators and retired coaches and coaches from a lower divisions on everyone's list. Why not try to sway an already successful FBS coach in a lower ranked conference?

Maybe the coach at Ball St. They run a pretty successful spread and have a decent D. I'm sure he doesn't make more than maybe 300 to 400k a year. We could offer a coach who already knows and is succeeding in our FBS.

That's an interesting name.

I've just realized that WYO has not hired a current FBS coach as coach since Dennis Erikson.
Roach was a coord before becoming HC at UW. Tiller was a coord under Roach. Dimel was a coord before coming here. Koenning was our D coord. Glenn was a HC, but at a lower division. And today we have DC who was a O coord.

Utah flipped the switch by going after Urban Meyer at Bowling Green. SDSU had flipped the switch with their hiring of Brady Hoke.

I would say that if you look at the success both of those schools had going that route compared to the minimal success we've had by hiring lower divisional coaches and coords, then it stands to reason that maybe we try something different.

Eaton was a position coach for Devaney.
