I think it says it all. I agree completely except for the another planet comment.. but then again being that different from Vegas may not be a bad thing.
"I visited Laramie when UNLV played there a few years back. Pretty country but wow does it feel like another planet. I dont think there is any excuse for not winning in football and hoops there though - it does require and AD and president with some vision and outside thinking. If Air Force can win in football with all the challenges of recruiting, so can Wyoming. If Utah State can field a respectable basketball program every year so can Wyoming. Outside Air Force, every team in the conference really has no excuse for fielding competitive basketball and football teams. I think you need a Wyoming guy who embraces the lifestyle and can sell his enthusiasm to recruits and a good system coach who knows where to go to get players and that fit into the system. I wish Wyo the best of luck (except Tuesday night), I like the fans a lot and love having them in the conference"
