$5.00 cheaper, earlier start, similar weather, no fireworks, same level competition, Brett Smith, D redemption, New uniform roll out, etc.

22,300. Fans excited about the Offense and want to see it in person. Know that D will adjust, And it's a earlier game. Plus, more students will be there, it's a regular weekend for them.

I don't know how the administration counts attendance, but they will SAY it is over 20,000. I have been to games where the stadium seems less than half full and the come up with something like 20,322.

Maybe, but that's maybe 100-200 more at most. They do counts by how many tickets that come in the stadium.

Don't they count tickets sold (even all the season tickets sold to Nebraska fans, who will only attend ONE game) and not actual attendance through the gates? That's what it sounded like they did for basketball last season.

Not for football. They count the tickets/student ids that come in through the gates. The don't account for those that leave before the game is over, granted, but they do count the butts in the seats, at least for football.

They have the scanner things, so I imagine it's the people that come through the gate.

Kept my home opener streak going and I will be at neb game, but the rest of my foreseeable weekends I will be watching my daughter play volleyball. Hs vball gets over at the end of october. I already have tickets to the nov home games, tcu and nm. I will have to watch on the mtn. Too bad, I was curious to see the brown helmets in person.
