Polasek leaving, taking HC at NDSU?

Why? All I ever heard was bitching about Bohls system. Sure it might have been nice to see what polacek would do without Bohl micromanaging the O. Sawvel now doesn’t have a choice.

Any bets that Bohl jr goes with him?

I think he’s a good coach and could do very well without Bohl. Our efficiency numbers on offense were not bad this year. Just need to pick up the pace of play .

I’d bet Bohl Jr becomes Wyoming’s DC. Coordinator positions at FCS typically pay less than his current salary.

Maybe, but Polasek is a Grade A asshole. I wouldn't be surprised if there are several players happy to see him go.
 
Well, I watched the second half and overtime of the Montana-NDSU game yesterday. I'd say NDSU needs help on defense, not offense. Doesn't seem like a good move for them...

Yep. Just like Vigen being blamed for running the O Bohl demanded.

This will be wild how it pans out. Are the bison only losing their HC? Polacek doesn't need to fill any coordinators?

We have an idea what coaching tree Sawvel is really experienced with? I'd sure like to keep that midwest pipeline. I like those kids from minnesota and illinois.

NDSU’s head coach made $400,000 this year. Coordinators at NDSU made quite a bit less. For most coaches, leaving a position at Wyoming to take a position at NDSU is a significant pay cut. There’s a reason that NDSU’s head coach left to take a linebackers coach position at USC.
 
I'm not that plugged in to who is who at all the coordinator positions...but this surprised me a bit. Well...my pessimism is only increasing.
 
I think Polasek did a great job this year calling plays and mixing it up more than any of the other Bohl years.

I think he is a good coach. He will do well at NDSU I’m sure and they will still keep winning there. Good hire for them.
