Pokes vs. FAU Game Thread

ya know, there was a time when the WAC teams pretty much had no defense. Remember the Wacky WAC? But the Pokes were winning a lot more games than the last few seasons. At least we moved the ball and scored the last 2 games. NM next week, we should be able to win that one and have a good offensive showing. This team should definitely win 5 this year, can win 6 and with some good breaks make it 7. I think we will end up 6-6.
 
I got to follow this game on my Blackberry, thankfully. Damn.. whether how good or bad the team played, the most important thing is we got a W on the road. Those haven't happened very often lately, we should take that as a very positive sign. FAU is a good football team, despite their record, and the Pokes won VERY far from home where there was probably very little gameday gold to be seen. Great win for them, these true freshman are for real.
 
Yeah, I'm not sure why people thought this game was going to be an easy win. All things considered, it was going to be anything but, especially in 90 degrees heat against a team that's faster at most positions and that despite their record, is known to crank it up as the season goes on.

I think there's a lot to be happy about, even though there were obviously plenty of mistakes on both sides of the ball. Another game with 30 points... when did Cowboys last score at least 30 in back-to-back games?
