I think 5th is much more realistic than 8th (and 6th). Does the SN rag know we changed coaches? Sometimes they miss those kind of details. Coaching alone, we are a 5th place at worse team. With some luck, I can see 4th...

I think you are right on with SN & your prediction. SN doesn't care about the MWC (or any non bcs team west of the Mississippi).
Coach Shyatt & his staff will have Udub playing D1 defense like we haven't seen for a long time. It may take the first half of the season to get the team there, but by conference, they aren't going to want to play us. We have a solid team and we just need to get the newcomers some good D1 experience and coaching.
