The Germany connection strikes again! Mark Nzeocha's brother, Eric, will be a Cowboy next season, as reported on Gagliardi's Twitter.

Looking at the older brother, I'm sure the younger brother will be a physical specimen as well. Just wonder how much ball he's played. His older brother must have had some good things to say about the program and the school. Nice to see. Been a while since we had an early committ.

he's second from left and there is a Paul Nzeocha on the far right. Another future cowboy?

They sure do look like they are no slouches in the weight room.

One of the other threads I had asked if any of the guys who don't qualify ever make it to campus. I am glad to see this kid get his things together and get here. RB gets deeper. Hopefully this added depth will let ghaali take a little more time to heal up and possibly move back to LB?

Yeah, speak of the devil....you had just brought this up. This is great news....way to go Evan! If memory serves he was quite a get, with several BCS offers.

Also congrats on the verbal...I love the German connection, keep em coming.

Evan had one BCS offer from Minnesota. We were the only other FBS school to offer.

Don't ruin my story with the facts. :)

Good to know, at least he had one and my memory isn't completely off.

I hope DC and the gang doesn't go too crazy with offering too many German players until we see how they pan out. Oliver had an okay season, slowly building until tailing off towards the end, but he was hardly a factor. These guys all seem to be physical specimens but do they have the experience and instincts of US born players? I guess if we train them up once they get to Laramie things will work out, seeing as the new guys will have more than just 2 years as Oliver has. There's no shortage of athletic players out there, it comes down to can they play. Then again, it has worked for players coming from the South Pacific.

I think we take a chance on them about as much as we would take a chance on any HS kid here in the states. You do your best to evaluate them from what you have seen, what you have heard, etc. Sometimes there are misses. I'm sure each of us could bring up a huge list of highly touted recruits that didn't do much. I just think the upside to the germans, especially Nzeocha, are big. I will have to see how Borgs does, but from how Nzeocha has moved up the depth chart and is competing for a starting spot, I'd say we got a steal.
