Pokes/Lobos Game Thread

They seem to have let ACS off the leash the last two games. Of course, it helps when the games are against non-top 20 defenses. Still, he is an impressive kid. Should be a joy to watch next year and I think the boot will be safe this year.

And then we fumble again in the RZ!
 
Are you fucking kidding me!? Are you fucking kidding me!? Son of a fucking bitch! Of all the games to have 3 redzone turnovers, DAMMIT!
 
Herron... you've been good today.. but some time on the bench might help you remember to put two hands on the ball. Both of his fumbles have been easy strips.
 
New Mexico D, as well as camera guy, bit on ACS play fake. ACS takes a huge gain down the field. HOLD ONTO THE FUCKING BALL THIS TIME!!!!
 
We might put up 450-500 yds rushing in this game. How long has it been since we have seen that? Maybe with thunder and lightnin?

With all the mistakes, we could still lose this one though.
 
Better win the 4th quarter. Letting NM stay close too long, and we've tried really hard to give this one away. Bad, bad turnovers. should be 45-17.
 
We ran it from the spread O into a goalline D, what the hell is Arroyo thinking? We THROW the ball at that point since they're loading up to stop the run. How do you NOT do this?

Not sure when the last time was. It's been a long freaking time though! I did see that we have 3 guys over 100 yards rushing and I do know the last time that happened (pretty sure anyway). I think 1995 against SDSU with Tiller at the helm. The year before the Pokes went 10-2 and got screwed out of a bowl. They ended up winning like their last 3 games in a row and then rolled through the first part of the next season. I for one am hoping for deja vu! :D
 
Pokes need to man up and win this one. Pokes move into the bottom ten with a loss here (although Lobos will probably remain there as well). Some great plays on the long field, poor play on the short.
