It has been a long process, but Treyton Welch is beginning to see more and more time with New Orleans. In what is his third professional season, the former University of Wyoming tight end played a career-high 19 snaps in the Saints’ 45-24 loss to Atlanta on Monday night.
His 19 snaps were divided up between seven on offense and 12 on special teams. He also logged a receiving target.
For the season, Welch has played 47 snaps, 22 on offense and 25 on special teams for the 1-3 Saints. New Orleans hosts Minnesota in Week 5.
Below is a list of all the former Wyoming Cowboys and how they did in Week 4.
Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)
Allen and the Bills struggled in a 29-26 loss to New England on Sunday. He was 23-for-33 for 253 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Allen only ran it five times totaling four yards with an additional score.
For the season, Allen is 82-for-122 for 1,037 yards with half a dozen touchdowns and three picks. On the ground, he’s carried it 33 times for 118 yards with seven scores for the 3-1 Bills.
Buffalo travels to the Los Angeles Rams for Monday Night Football.
Andrew Wingard (Arizona Cardinals)
Wingard didn’t factor too much in the Cardinals’ 36-24 loss at the New York Giants on Sunday. He only made one tackle.
For the season, Wingard has recorded 23 tackles, three tackles for loss, one pass defended, one interception and one forced fumble for the 1-3 Cardinals.
Arizona hosts Detroit in Week 5.
Carl Granderson (New Orleans Saints)
Granderson was inactive in the Saints’ 45-24 loss to Atlanta on Monday night.
For the season, Granderson has 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hit and a blocked field goal.
New Orleans hosts Minnesota in Week 5.
Marcus Epps (Philadelphia Eagles)
Epps was inactive in the Eagles’ 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
For the season, Epps has registered 14 tackles for the 2-2 Eagles.
Philadelphia travels to London to battle Jacksonville in Week 5.
Frank Crum (Denver Broncos)
Crum has begun the season in Denver on the injured reserve list. The Broncos fell at San Francisco, 24-14, on Sunday, dropping to 2-2 on the season.
Denver travels to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5.
Caden Barnett (Chicago Bears) and Evan Svoboda (Los Angeles Chargers) are both on their respective team’s practice squads. John Michael Gyllenborg (Kansas City Chiefs) suffered a season-ending injury in fall camp.
