From the desk of UW AD:
Not many teams in the NFL are playing as well right now as Jacksonville. The Jaguars have won seven in a row and eight of nine and are in position to win the NFC South with just one week left of the regular season.
A big reason as to why Jacksonville has enjoyed a late-season surge is the play of safety Andrew Wingard. The Former University of Wyoming student-athlete is a consistent force in the back half of the Jaguars’ defense.
On Sunday, Wingard boasted five tackles and a tackle for loss in Jacksonville’s 23-17 win at Indianapolis. For the season, Wingard owns 84 tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, eight passes defended and one quarterback hit for the 12-4 Jaguars.
