I know he threw for 2 and ran for 1. But I think it's unanimous he's the Player of the Game. But would still like to see his stats.

No doubt it has to be Smith. Pretty unflappable out there leading the offense in his first college football game. Very similar to ACS in his escapablity, but there is no comparison in the passing game, Smith appears to be light years ahead of ACS as a passer and seems to make way better decisions.

I am not sure anyone expected a true Freshman in his first game at the next level to put up those numbers. For me, the game was closer than expected becuase the defense was freakin' pathetic. However, I haven't felt this good about the the offense in a very long time.

Smith's post game interview sounded like a 5th year senior. He is very well spoken, and he was very quick to spread the praise to his OL, RB, and receivers. Much different than what we saw over the previous 2 years.

The defense frustrated the hell out of me, but I am still excited to see what this year has to offer. With a team this young I am still thinking 6-6.

I was one of the slightly less than 22,000 at the game last night and I agree with the majority of opinions here. Smith did very well in his first FBS game in college football. There were a couple of freshman mistakes, but they will disappear in a very short amount of time.
