Unless Brett Smith is going to clone himself and play DL, LB, and DB, I would say we are still screwed. Losing 52-45 is still losing even in the QB generates 500 yards and 5 TD's.

Piling on: I've said this a million times.....people make like the offense averaged 45 PPG or something. They scored 30+ points three times the entire season. When they can protect Smith, they'll score to a certain extent. No running game + bad protection = similar result to 2012. Like every single Dave Christensen season, bowl hopes will be determined by the turnover ratio. Smith and co looked really good against UNLV, Colorado State, and New Mexico. Go take a look at the film against Boise State, Fresno State, and Texas. Not exactly the same case.....Contrary to popular belief, the Pokes will not play bottom feeders 12 times next season.

I'll stop now. Its March.....everyone thinks they're team will be good in March.
