Our POS OOC schedule

Our OOC schedule looked pretty damn good this year, but the supposedly good teams (NMSU, Denver, Colorado, SMU, Cal) didn't play as well as everyone thought they would have.

Florida A&M - 338
Stetson - 334
New Mexico State - 170
Denver - 210

Montana State - 280
Southern - 291

The schedule has definitely turned out weaker than expected. SMU, Cal, and NMSU have all dealt with injuries and being shorthanded (particularly NMSU) which has hurt them. DU has been very disappointing as well. Still, the biggest issue is Stetson and FAMU. Just really bad teams that are going to kill our RPI all year combined with 2 games against SJSU.

I think it's interesting we scheduled a home/home with Montana State and are planning a home/neutral for next year. Gearing up to join the Big Sky?

It's not like we never play Montana St. We have played them 53 times over the years including multiple games at neutral court sites in Billings and Casper (the women have played them in Sheridan as well, but I don't think the men have).

When I started posting here on WyoNation, I'll admit I was a little Bohl-centric. People told me to follow other Wyo programs, and I have. Now I'm being criticized for following the basketball team?!

I kind of feel the league could help us out here. We aren't the only ones where schools don't want to play. FSU, SJSU, UNR, and USU also have trouble scheduling. It would be nice to see the MVC challenge rekindled for us. Hell, Big West or something would help in this regard.

I haven't heard much out of Colo Springs on the BBall front lately. Remind me again what we are paying those folks for?

I am really really really regretting our stupid, no good, POS schedule. It would take tons of pressure off if we had just played the 200th and 201st worst teams instead of the 350th and 351st. Damn

I thought you were embellishing here, but not by much. FAMU is 351. Stetson is 337. Montana State 319.
