OT: Dave Christensen's Anemic Offense

I thought this article was very telling. Amazing how someone like DC continues to get jobs. Seems like he just blitzkriegs everywhere he goes lately. He did some decent things here, but how is wy football so cursed with coaches. Some of them have set the program back years and years.

I'm not a DC fan at all, but to be fair, Utah is not the best situation to judge an OC and Wyoming is not the best situation to judge a HC.

With that said, there really aren't that many guys out there that are great coaches. For every Urban Meyer, you have about 1000 Dave Christensen's. Programs that have a good infrastructure don't rely as much on lightning in a bottle and appear to have a knack for identifying coaches. Really, they have something unique about their program which allows success from a wide variety of coaching talents and personalities.

I see that point, but one of the biggest beefs I had with DC is the predictability...and Ken Scott confirmed my assumption. Same turd, different place.

Dickface is not a smart man, a horrible coach, and had a shit personality to go with. Granted, he got it done as OC under Pinkel - both at Toledo and Missouri...but other than that, nothing. Maybe there is a reason he got it done under Pinkel but sucked the very last breathe out of our beloved Wyoming.

Pinkel must have made more control of the play calling and such than people give him credit for. The only correlation between DC and success is Pinkel.

I agree 100%. I bet Pinkel never downed the ball on the 45 yard line, in the second quarter, with 2 minutes left before half. Damn that still pisses me off...and not just because it happened once or twice, because it happened damn near every game.

Playing not to lose instead of to win, That is the reason I started to despise everything about him.
