Normally, I read lots of article like this and just go about my day...
But this is one of the most pretentious, absurd things I have read in a LONG time.

This mother is trying to describe why she was upset her kid went to Alabama instead of LSU. But instead of the usual, I want him closer to home, I miss him...her reasons are insanely selfish...I have to drive 4 hours to Tuscaloosa, he didn't start freshman year and almost wouldn't have got drafted...
And the most absurd quote (for me at least):
Just a glimpse in to what football life is really like in the south.

Landon and I had already charted out a three-and-out plan.
At LSU, I was convinced he could play immediately, wind up a Freshman All-American and build the momentum to be a first-rounder after his junior season.
At ‘Bama, I was worried he’d be buried on Nick Saban’s notoriously deep depth charts.
