Don't be surprised if last week was the last time you see AP play in the NFL for a while if not ever.

Man... so many people try and defend him and claim it's just a part of proper child rearing...

He used a switch to whip a 4-year old boy to where he was freaking bleeding on the legs and buttocks. And it wasn't even his child!

11 Year old not 4 and it was his Child that lives with his mom. I condone discipline and as I have felt a switch, paddle and belt and remember the welts that bleed I never did the wrong thing twice because it only takes one sore ass.

Kids that are raised standing in the corner when they do something bad are everything that is wrong with our society today. But this is a reallllllllllly controversial subject so I've said my peace.

No. It was a 4-year old, and not his own son.
Here are pictures as well:

Did you even look at the pictures?

You tell me any 4 year old with hands that big. That is a Dr hand showing injury on the child. Hell the title of the image is Adrian Peterson son. That story is the worst version I have read because all they did was copy it from TMZ who broke it. Petersons son would be 4 years old this year if he was alive and I'm pretty sure that is what TMZ is going off of not facts just random comments.

Peterson's lawyer, Rusty Hardin released the following statement:

"Adrian Peterson has been informed that he was indicted by a grand jury in Montgomery County, Texas for Injury to a Child. The charged conduct involves using a switch to spank his son. This indictment follows Adrian's full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son. He used the same kind of discipline with his child that he experienced as a child growing up in east Texas. Adrian has never hidden from what happened. He has cooperated fully with authorities and voluntarily testified before the grand jury for several hours. Adrian will address the charges with the same respect and responsiveness he has brought to this inquiry from its beginning. It is important to remember that Adrian never intended to harm his son and deeply regrets the unintentional injury."

This will help fund the NFL study on domestic violence and the NFL running back. Is there a correlation?

Goodell needs to see the video first before taking action to cover his own ass.

One word, intent. AD truly believes this is within normal spanking standards. I think he truly cares for his kids and thought this was appropriate to alter their behavior. To me that is a major difference between this and "domestic abuse". People often parent how they were parented.

If I'm judge and commisioner....probation and mandatory parenting classes. For NFL, mandatory outreach program for kids who are victims of true domestic violence.

I wouldn't throw AD under the bus for this on 1 incident.

Not acceptable by today's standards. I agree, he probably doesn't know how to parent properly and should get probation and mandatory classes. Do not crucify AD
