OT: 5.2 quake here in OKC 30 minutes ago

Glad you're ok, Okie. I've only felt 2 in my life (very small ones), but they definately got the adrenaline going.

No damage at my place. Scared the shit outta me.

Third one I ever experienced.

natural gas fracking nearby? seems to be links to small quakes and that activity showing up worldwide

That might be a possibilty. The epicenter was near a small town northeast of OKC called Sparks. There has been some drilling near there in a bigger town called Jones so.....

The area around Jones gets a lot of quakes for some reason.

Normalky Oklahoma only gets 50 earthquakes but in 2010, it had over a 1,000. People are thinking that the fracking type drilling is to blame since most of those earthquakes are in the general area of that type of drilling.

those dirty frackers!!!

We just had our third "major" earthquake in 3 days!!!!

A 4.7 at 2:12 a.m. Saturday morning.
A 5.6 at 10:53 Saturday night

and we just had the THIRD one about 10 minutes ago!!!!

Man Wyokie, they are bombing you from below. I was in a 5.5 out in California several years ago. Don't ever believe those Californians when they say "aww those are just little ones - we don't even worry about them" because those Californians went tearing out of the cafeteria I was in and left the cash register open too. Three of us guys from Wyoming were drinking coffee and we picked up our coffee cups so it wouldn't spill and calmly walked out.

Don't assume everybody in California is from California, especially not in the type of jobs that college students are likely to have. ;)
