Omaha, Omaha, game thread,

Washington had lots of energy and made some pretty gutsy saves...
Yeah I really liked what I saw from TW3. Those saves were as good as solid rebounds for us. He was diving to the floor. I like that dude's effort and energy. I'm not low on Trey at all.

Lieberman is just looking more like a solid player but isn't bringing much else then just kind of keeping the machine running. He's playing really vanilla right now. Nothing horrible, nothing great kinda style.

So like grabau?

Yeah maybe a bit like Grabau's soph year now that you mention it. Riley seemed better throughout though. Grabau only really struggled against that top 75 or top 50 style athleticism say a SDSU or New Mexico. Liebs might actually be a hair faster then Riley, but Riley's intangibles seem better to me so far.

I had never really thought about it but a Grabau comparison is very accurate. He doesn't HAVE to be the scoring threat though (in theory) Lieberman has a sweet stroke and can score if needed. He's just out there to facilitate the offense for everyone else. Indeed. Great observation and comparison

Grabau also had a sort of low burning fire that was always there. His shooting was awesome when he got looks. He could handle the rock with confidence and he had some leadership. Of course we all know about his FT shooting which was phenomenal. Grabau's D wasn't bad either even when he was outgunned athletically.

Why the hell is Shyatt running this lineup with no creators but Adams... Shit. They're going to take Adams away and make someone else beat us. Put some damn scorers in coach.

I don't think Lieberman and Grabau is a good comparison at all to be honest.

Grabau would actually get open and take shots and knock them down.

Lieberman when he gets open never shoots it and the few times he seems to he doesn't seem to knock them down.

He needs to get more confidence and shoot it when he is open. I think he is lacking confidence in his shot during games. He just needs to relax and shoot the ball and not over think it.

Lieberman can shoot it he just needs to take the damn shot when he gets open and not think about it. Hope we see more of it.

Grabau was definitely more effective throughout his time at UW. He seemed ahead of Liebs in both frosh and soph years. They have some similarities but I'd place Riley much higher at this point in their UW careers. We'll see how Liebs can progress.

Much more was expected out of Riley as well. Those teams weren't as deep as this one seems to be. Our depth right now is strange though as it isn't some mind-blowing players coming off the bench. We have a subtle steady vibe to our depth.
