Oklahoma/aTm.. SEC bound?

Every time i saw "iowa" i just kind of assumed it was the hawkeyes. I didn't realize the cyclones were in the big 12. I always thought they were in the MAC or something.

Iowa State has been in the Big XII when it was known as the Big 6 in the 1930s.

Going to be an interesting few months and the AQ conferences feast on each other a bit. No question Big 12 schools are all checking their hole card and certain ones are fielding calls from the PAC, SEC, and Big East

Billings, I merged your thread about A & M with another that had been started a few days earlier.

It's all gone wild now.
Not only hearing about Texas A&M going to SEC,
but also hearing that the Big 12 has contacted a Texas team to join Big 12.

Interesting article.

BTW, in the article an OU adminstrator shot down the TCU-to-Big 12 idea.

All I can say is Thompson better be on the horn with Tech and the Kansas schools today. I think the Okie schools would be a great get and make some sense, but they have better options in greener pastures.

Does anybody really think BYU would end up in the reformed Big 12? Wasn't our crappy TV deal the reason they bolted, and wouldn't the Texas network put them in the same situation more or less? I suppose the gold lining for us would be that there would never be any option of having those turds back in the MWC, which is fine by me.

Going to be an interesting Spring next year, methinks.

GO POKES!

No. There are rumors flying that TCU could end up in the Big XII -3 as A & M's replacement but someone at OU shot that rumor down last night.

Apparently the Texas Legislature wants to talk to Texas A & M BEFORE they make the move to the SEC official!
