So let's get your take on what your season is spozed to be: what are you all predicting for your season??
curious to hear

They expect to go 14-0 win the Big10, win the National Championship, have the #1 offense in the country, and the #1 defense, and they expect Taylor Martinez to win the Heisman then be the #1 NFL Draft pick.
Haven't they made that shit clear enough?

The season comes down to UCLA and Michigan (really Michigan). We had murderer's row our first two years in the new conference, and now we're on the easy end of that. A lot of home games and a lot of "easier" conference games gives us a comfortable cushion going into the game at Michigan which could decide the division and whether we make it back to the championship game.

The most popular opinion, I think, and I agree with it, is an 11-1 regular season with the loss to Michigan, but a trip to the championship game because Mich will drop two in conference. Then a showdown with Ohio State, or a small chance at Wisconsin, and who knows? Worst case would be 9-3 with losses to UCLA, Northwestern and Michigan.

Personally, Regular season - 10-2 or 11-1.

I can't see with the easy schedule dropping more than 3 games regular season and I think 2 is more likely.

I can see two being dropped between UCLA/Michigan/Northwestern/Penn State. I do not see losing to the other non-conference or conference teams.

If I had to nail down a prediction, I would say 11-1 with a loss to Michigan, then a loss to OSU in the B1G Champ game.

Beaves aside:

16-0 (fuck logic! We're Nowldge U!)
World Series (Yeah, its better because it has "World" in it!)
Medal of Honor (We're Nowldge U, why wouldn't our * player get the a-ward for best player in the country?)
Did I mention we're Nowldge U?

Somebody seems a bit butthurt.

#1 offense isn't that much of a stretch, but Id rather just say top 10. #1 defense...Hah, no. Top 40 and I would be happy considering last year. Martinez will be in the Heisman talk if we only have 1 loss at the end of the regular season, but will have a hard time getting drafted as he is not a NFL QB prospect.

like drawing moths to a flame, but I like that they have realistic expecations, 9-3 is what i believe too

I bet Nebraska loses 4 games. Just like they do every year.
Seriously, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 ended with 4 losses. Taylor Martinez the great has never won a bowl game. And he is good against bad teams and bad against good teams. Mr. Anti-Clutch. Why would that change this season?

I just looked at the schedule and I would say my guess for the Huskers is 8-4 with losses to UCLA Northwestern Michigan and Michigan State/Penn State

We went 10-2 in the regular season last year. When was the last time Wyoming could complain about have 5 straight 9 win seasons? Honestly, probably never over the last 25 years. Apparently "Mr. Anti-Clutch" was 6 regular season more clutch than your Joe Montana like QB. It'll be sad to see Brett Smith have a new HC next year after another 5-6 wins. Most everyone else on this board his level headed and I enjoy reading their opinions. You have a single child-like mentality.

On Huskerboard, the speculation is at worst 8 losses and at best 11, with the average being around 9.5. It all depends on the defense. The UCLA game will tell alot about the team. If Nebraska wins that game, they very well could be 7-0 heading into their game with NW. That is, if the Huskers get past the Cowboys. :thumb:

What is the speculation with the Cowboys? The schedule seems to be similar to Nebraskas. One or two tough games, some iffy, and 4-5 that you can chalk up as wins. Is that pretty accurate?

That is mostly accurate on the Wyo schedule, we have some gimmie wins, along with a couple of tough games. I believe that the best case is 10 wins with a worst case around 6. My personal prediction for the Pokes is 8-4

Nebraska's schedule has lined up well for them to get back to the B1G Championship game. I honestly think both programs are in a really similar position curved perhaps to the fanbases expectations. A lot of people will be calling for Bo's head if they can't get over the hump. With DC we are feeling the same way. The don't want to waste a good QB and offense anymore than we do.

No gimmies. See Cal Poly :?

10-2 regular season then lost the big 10 title game and then the bowl game. So like I said, 4 losses last season. Just like every season for the past half decade.

I hope for 11-1. Loss to Michigan or UCLA.

We should be 10-2. A loss to one of the above plus an additional one to Northwestern/Michigan State/Penn State.

We'll probably be 9-3. One each from above plus a "What the hell just happened?" loss to Wyoming, Iowa, Purdue.

And just what is Wyoming supposed to be? A good team? A bad team? Are we going based on the last 5 years to make this determination?

Thanks in advance.
