OK Beaver, with your connections...

Haha it's not so much "connections" rather than just simply knowing a few guys. I am no agent or beat reporter hahaha.

But, I know one of them is VERY excited. Probably more excited than us. I don't know if I should share names? You guys probably know which player I am talking about.

In general though, it seems like the players are ready for a winning culture. We have a bunch of good athletes especially on offense. Bring in Tedford who will coach them on the field, in practice and the games, and who will work with them, we could have a pretty good team.

I think Tedford will be here for a short time, and I am very okay with that. The key for him to move to a BCS conference, is immediate success.
We have some tools for that.

I'd also like to know why Reese would quit his team leaving them short handed with only 2 games left in a season.

Tedford is a pro-style guy, though what that means anymore is getting harder and harder to say.

In perusing the archives of the Cal boards the past few days, it seems like he is still pretty well thought of by the Cal fan base, and that maybe he just stayed a few years too many.

And this is the reason I think Tedford is a bad choice for Wyoming. Wyoming football needs some stability and a coach that will give Wyoming some time. Tedford is here for 2 maybe 3 years top and then he is out and that is not what the program needs right now.

He needs to win first. And it takes time to transition from the spread to the pro style offense.

If (and a big IF) Tedford is at WYO - and leaves after 2 or 3 years, it will be because he came in and kicked ass. And, frankly, I will take that. In a heartbeat.

+1. Pre-Glenn I would totally agree that we need a long-term builder, and (at the time of the hire) it seemed that's what we had in Glenn. Pre-DC, I still thought a builder would be alright, but a 5-6 year guy that jumped to BCS would of been ok. Now, we want/need a guy that's gonna come in and win. If that means he's here for 2-3 years, dominates the competition and then leaves for greener pastures, then I'm all for it.
