Did we retire Powder River, Let Er Buck because of the debacle at the end of the season we all moved to Basketball or did we just finally retire it for good?

That left with Joe Glenn. DC was anti-everything Joe Glenn.
Well it didn't leave with Glenn there are posts frm last year it was still used lol.

I was at every home game last year, and 2 away games, and never once did I hear that cheer. In fact, it has been rarely, if ever heard, in the confines of War Memorial, since DC took the helm. With the exception of maybe one or two smatterings of a few drunks, but it sure wasn't a cheer, and it sure wasn't used or promoted by the UW athletic department. That left with Joe Glenn, and was made a priority "go-away item" (along with NB) by DC.

:thumb:
But don't worry, I'm sure they will bring back "First Down MOTHER FKER"

I think this one is like the beer song....said at a lot of places.

I seriously hope we come out strong and get this rolling.

I always used to try and single out an opposing player after they got burned or made a mistake.

chant the players number.

As a newbie, please remind me...

Games broadcast on ROOTSports are also available to stream live at TheMWC.com, correct?

Can't wait!

My hope is that Bohl has made these young men both mentally and physically tough.

NO MORE QUITTING!

I'm excited yet cautiously optimistic. This guy coached a team that beat a solid Kansas State team last season in Kansas with less scholarships and obviously less talented recruits. I may be biased, but I think we've got one hell of a lot more talent for him to work with in Laramie - on both sides of the ball.

It wasn't exactly a fluke win over Kansas State either. NDSU dominated time of possession (36 minutes to 24), outgained them 380 to 321 yards, made them go 2 for 10 on third down while converting 10/17 themselves, and they only had a single turnover.

Now yes, it was Kansas State's first game and they caught them off guard a bit, but no matter what, NDSU came prepared and outplayed them - it wasn't just a Hail Mary where they were dominated and got lucky, even if they had to come from behind to win it. I'm even excited about the fact that they rallied late against a solid team and came out on top rather than falling off and not even trying a la what we had under DC last season.

Whenever we've beaten big conference teams in the past, it's been teams that were terrible. KSU was not terrible last season, as they beat Texas Tech, TCU, West Virginia, Michigan, and Kansas - AND they kept it close with Texas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Baylor in their other 4 losses.

I can tell you that this team is exhausted! Fall camp was a bitch! They had a crappy practice yesterday! I hope they don't come out looking and playing flat! This is the hardest they have worked in a long time. Their legs are trashed right now.

I watched that game at Kansas State last year. They were probably the best FCS team ever. They did dominate that game.

Yes, I agree. I think, outside of the QB position, the Pokes have more talent. I'm pretty sure Bohl has them on the right track. But, it's just the first game....
