Lay off the offense bro...they put up 35 points and close to 400 yards of offense. They did everything you could every ask of them. Bag on the defense all you want but after 2 years of whining about the offense you can't really do it right now, not to mention with a true freshman qb at the helm!
 
It is the first game! we barely beat Weber and we won a bowl game give these guys some time, we are young, Smith played well after his pic/fumble. Give these guys a chance we have Texas State now. Game is over we got the W let's take it and move on

You know, I've never been a drinker, but I may just start this season if this contnues.

But I agree, I like what I saw with Smith. He's a Freshmen and made a few mistakes (like that int on the 2nd play of the 1st drive), but he bounced back from it like nothing happened. And he got good protection the entire first half (was impressed with the o-line). He'll be a stud in the years to come, for sure. Defense, well, we all know how that's going. :oops:
 
I knew when I saw our defenses depth chart and saw how small we were that we were going to get abused. Glad we got the win but we are in for a long year.

To say Wyoming got lucky in 2009 is a gross understatement. It won't happen again. Don't fool yourself, 2-10 or 3-9 could happen.

We only have a couple of decent sized DTs on the team, and I think they were the starters. Some of the DEs were in the 250-260 range, but the rest might as well be LBs.
 
Im not hating how the O performed i hate how all we did was run the same play over and over i knew by the 2nd quarter what we were running every play. Smith impressed me (Sept wtf happened on the 2nd play?) i FUCKING love how tough he is altho he needs to scramble out or throw away atleast 1 of those sacks could have been avoided
 
At least it was an exiting game and the Pokes got the win. The Pokes know what they have to work on to get better, and they say that a team improves the most from week 1 to week 2. Let's hope that's true and we see a much improved defense next week.

Hey if the defense can't stop it why stop running it. Apparently that's what Weber was doing cause we had a difficult time stopping anything they did.

You usually keep it simple with games against FCS opponents, ESPECIALLY with a brand new QB at the helm.
 
UW always plays to level of competition, i.e. Texas, New Mexico, Tenn, Ole Miss, UNLV, etc.

The USU game is an L. They looked tough today.
 
Now that ive calmed down.. I understand that we dont wanna give too much away i understand that we have a Freshmen QB but when were losing to Weber state.. Open it up maybe? lets just hope next week our Defense dosent play like abunch of Pre Schoolers.. I hope DC jumps there shit and lights a fire under the arse

Also was anyone else freezing thank god i brought my new hoodie with me.

They did. However, I can't help but wonder if Auburn is highly over-rated.

And yes, I was freezing. Brought my new sweatshirt with me. But foolishly, I wore shorts. My knee couldn't take the cold so I came home at half time.
 
Brett Smith is far ahead of where ACS was as a freshman and I really think we have the best QB starting. However our defense is going to make this a long season. Safety play must improve because they in no way helped in any area of the field tonight.

I'm feeling pretty good about our offense overall.
