How does everyone think the offense will perform in 2025?

I think we take a big step forward with Anderson and some, finally, good weapons surrounding him. The WRs seem good and JMG at TE is great. The OL is big and experienced

Anderson will be the best QB since Allen if he stays healthy. It sounds like he will have some receivers to work with. Hopefully we have some ability to run the ball effectively and an effective line.

My biggest concern is the coaching staff decision making and play calling.

I will be at the Akron game. That should be a convincing win if this team will compete for bowl eligibility. If the offense sputters against Akron and especially if the defense looks porous I will be very concerned about a sub .500 season. A convincing win will provide hope for a Bohl like run to a 6-6 season and a trip to the Arizona bowl.

But - that depends on Anderson being healthy the entire season. I don’t trust the other QB’s once we get past game 2. Maybe we get surprised. My brown and gold blood always becomes excited with anticipation until reason for cynicism sets in which gets triggered easily by mediocrity.

Best QB since Allen...let's certainly hope so. That list in no particular order:

Tyler Vander Waal
Sean Chambers
Levi Williams
Andrew Peasley
Evan Svoboda

For my money...Peasley was the best of that group. He was a solid D1 passer. The rest of those guys were very 1 or none-dimensional.

Your comment about your brown and gold blood resonates with me. I still feel the excitement but it's very tempered by years of not much.

I think a big step forward is all but guaranteed. We were 123rd out of 134 teams in yards per game last season, 107th in passing offense, 88th in rushing offense, 123rd in points per game, and tied for 101st in turnover differential. We could go lower in all of these, but it would take some effort.

This just goes to show how unpredictable the transfer market is. I agree that Peasley was the best of that list and no one, myself included, was the least bit excited about his arrival in Laramie originally.

A step forward from last year is a pretty low bar. At least until Sawhead decided, “stubbornly”, to make the QB change. It still sticks in my craw that he couldn’t see, or admit, what we all saw. I knew sitting at the BYU game a change needed to be made.

I agree Peasley was the best of the lot but more so for his leadership and character than just his playing ability. He played with great heart and determination.

The most amazing thing about that was how good Andersen looked when he got an opportunity. It was painfully obvious who was the better quarterback, but somehow the people being paid to see that couldn't.

Absolutely...very gritty. With him under center I always felt like whenever we were inside the 20 he could get us a TD. He could be very accurate in the seam and dropping it in a bucket in the back of the end zone. Unfortunately most of our drives stalled out far before that point during his tenure.

That was a rough first 8 games to watch, sans AFA (but they really sucked ass last year). Why he didn't make a change at half against ASU is more telling now than ever.

Not a lot of great defenses on the schedule, 2nd year in the offense, and Anderson (if healthy) should help improve it quite a bit. PBJ obviously wasn't even close to HC material. Hopefully, he's trainable and learned something from his first year.

I learned he is a stubborn person, with poor speaking skills, who wouldn't know how to evaluate D1 QB talent if it were to slap him square on the tip of his wang.

We'll show market improvement in the offense for a few games before we go into a slide and after far too many games it's revealed that Kaden was playing through an injury. Looking back, we lost 4 games by 4 or fewer pts. Games we probably had won under Bohl. Seems like a lot of seasons could have been more like last year but Bohl had a better feel as a coach.
