Offense is embarrassing.

Sawvel in his post-game interview said that there needed to be a total reworking of the offense (Gee, do you guess!), and he also stated that there needed to be an upgrading at a number of positions on the offensive side of the ball.

Earlier Sawvel mentioned that the incoming OL class to be announced on Wednesday was the best that they have recruited as yet. If this is the case, I don't see how the OL coach wouldn't be returning. I would be surprised if Jovon would get the OC job after such a dismal end of the season. But I wouldn't be expecting to see the offensive upgrading that Sawvel spoke of until the transfer portal opens up after the first of the year.

I am not holding my breath on the offensive changes that will be made. How many times have we heard a football coach say that the offense needed to be more productive over the last 12 years? More times than I can count, so call me a doubting Thomas, talk is cheap, prove it on the field and I will believe you.

I don’t care what Sawful says. I will not send a penny to this dumpster fire unless the funds were to prop up a new coaching staff and AD.

I defer from commenting any further as only vile comments seem to be percolating in my mind.

I deplore Wyoming football and am so ashamed of it words don’t adequately describe the disgust.

The only redeeming thing is in this day and age it can change quickly. I 100% do not trust Sawful.

Contemplating the season results, New Mexico tied for the conference championship. They last won a conference championship in 1964. Not unreasonable to expect Wyoming to win this thing. Wyoming has a coach that has three more year remaining on his contract at $1.1 million, $1.25 million and $1.25 million. Wyoming athletic director making $555k a year who locked him down for these additional 3 years. I do not think i have ever seen this type of incompetence at this level in anything else .

I don’t like to but will say this much about the former conference mate south of Laramie. They have been pursuing a dream. Perhaps an unrealistic dream to become a B12 member. They have been trying to regain the Lubick era. They were willing to at least try and do something.

Wyoming is in SOS mode and that’s not “save our ship” but “Same Old Shit”. The waves of despair have crushed our rudderless lifeboat and we have been marooned on the Gilligan’s Island of football shipwrecks.

New Mexico pulled off the coup de gras hiring Bronco Mendenhall followed by Jason Eck. It didn’t take those guys multiple seasons to learn how to assess their situation. The disappointment with Sawful is we all knew that the offense was weakened severely after Peasley ran out of eligibility because it was precariously on the verge of weakness for years anyway. At least Bohl found a way to get as much mileage as he could out of a clunker offense.

The Burman rhetoric that hiring Sawful was to save a team from portal disaster because the players liked the guy was the first kick in the nads and has been proven to be very painful to witness.

I don’t care what transpires in the offseason, I will be a doubting Thomas as long as the head coach (any of the offensive staff) and AD remain the same.
