Girls looked horrible. Couldn't handle the lady Ducks (really...lady ducks?) full court pressure. Looked very much like they were playing hot potato for about 15 game-minutes! Teams need one of these every once-in-a-while...but wow it was tough to watch. Those PAC 10 teams on the schedule have their number...hopefully they will help prepare and do the team justice for MWC. NY's Eve at Boise State left before MWC...should be heading in 10 & 2.
The men actually looked pretty decent. Should have been a total blow out, but had to get Amath some PT...and he looked like this was his first action. Will be interesting to see how they fare versus Northern Iowa, Akron, and Adams State, heading into MWC play. Should be probably 8 & 6 at worst, and we get the Lamkins right out of the gate at home. Heath better turn it up a notch!
On a side note, why we get our biggest rival game, or one of them (CSU) when the students are gone, is BEYOND me. Surely the MWC doesn't give a damn.
Yup looked pretty ugly in the first half looked like they calmed down in the second half but couldn't make up the 20 point lead the duckets had. I think the refs let the duckets get away with a lot of hand checks and over the back but the cowgirls looked like a young team totally lost trying to find an answer.
The boys didn't look any better in their first half. They still look like a team that has two to three team players and three to four just looking for their ESPN highlight spot.
