Now that divisions are finalized...

...what schedule would you like to see the Pokes play?

Last year we had this as a conference slate:

@ Nevada
vs. Air Force
@ Fresno State
vs. Boise
vs. CSU
@ New Mexico
@ UNLV
vs. San Diego State

This year our division will be Boise, Utah State, Air Force, CSU, and New Mexico. One thing I'd like to see done is splitting the home and away games against the sheep and the zoomies. It's stupid to have two teams within driving distance come to Laramie in the same year. As far as the cross division games, let's try to set it up so we don't play two teams from the same region in the same year;

San Jose State OR Fresno State
San Diego State OR Hawai'i
UNLV OR Nevada

With all that in mind, here's what I'd like to see next season (in no particular order):

@ Air Force
vs. CSU
@ Boise State
vs. Utah State
@ New Mexico
vs. Fresno State
@ Hawai'i
vs. Nevada

Basically mirroring what we did last year, with the exceptions of playing CSU at home again and going to Hawai'i. What do you all hope it looks like?

Fun to speculate, but that's all we can do. Thompson has already stated that all previous schedules have been torn up. We could see many repeats from last seasons schedule, or none at all.....who knows?

But your draw up looks legit WYO1016. I could absolutely see that happening.

We will not host CSU and not go to UNM as we did that last year
Right, but like I said in the OP, it's dumb to play both CSU and Air Force at home in the same season. Better to stagger them so fanbases have games they can travel to without too much trouble.

As far as New Mexico, flip them to the home slate and swap Utah State to away.

Keep in mind that there's not going to be a perfect way to do this. We're going to have to play someone at home or away two years in a row to get the schedule straightened out.

Several years ago we played CSU twice in Ft. Collins to get them and BYU visiting in alternate years. Maybe they would return the favor. That would also get CSU and Boise on alternating years which hopefully will become our 2nd biggest rival.

No way CSU's AD allows us to play them at home again after winning 4 consecutive boots. I'd bet we have AF at home and CSU on the road.

I see USU becoming more of a rival than Boise. But, in order to get a true rivalry with either one of them, we need to get better. A combined 154-47 against those two teams the last couple years.

IMO...a must...

Either @ UNLV or @ UNR (or both) every year. And about every 3 or 4 years @ the Coconut Humpers.

Other than that, I could give a shit.

Won't happen. There will be 3 crossover games every year meaning we will play each team in the West Division every other year (therefore only 1 game each at UNLV and UNR every 4 years).
