Basketball tips off at 4:00, football kicks off at 8:15.

ESPN can suck a fat one. 8:15 kickoff in late November in Laramie? That's an attendance killer from hell.

Respectfully disagree. I think it's great.

I think it's great that both games will be televised, but that is going to be brutal football weather. Don't get me wrong, I'll be there in full force, but combine a bad team with cold weather and a late start and you can kiss attendance goodbye.

Hopefully the athletic department will really try to market this game to improve attendance.

All I know is that I'm going to bet the Holy Bejeezus out of the 1st half of this game on Wyoming. I have dollar signs in my eyes.

That brings this years t.v. bonus money total to 1.3 million. That's a lot better than most MWC teams are getting.

Well...hope the whoring is worth it.

Projected kick off temp is 16 - as of right now.

Rule out all of Wyoming (not named Laramie) and all of Colorado. Rule out everyone not holding a ticket in the Wildshatter over the age of 60. Rule out all walk-up ticket sales.

Yes, even with the earlier basketball game against CU.

How many people are going to watch the 4-6 Pokes against Boise regardless of game time? November the 22nd in Laramie is November the 22nd in Laramie. It doesn't really matter what time they kick off, very few are going to brave November the 22nd with a 4-6 record.

It might have a small effect on attendance, but not as big of effect as 4-6 does, or as big of an effect as late November does.

I think the 500 K more than makes up for the loss of attendance from having a 2:00 o'clock kick-off changed to a night time kick-off.

Comprehension is not a strong suit with me today. Are you saying if we had 12:00 noon kick off the attendance would be the same as the 8:15pm kickoff? I would think that we would see a substantially better crowd if it were:

12:00 Noon Kick Off vs. the Donkos
4:00 PM Tip Off vs. the Buffs

I'm saying it's not going to make nearly as big of a difference as 4-6 or November the 22nd. Either way it's going to be cold and either way we're going to be watching a team play with nothing on the line.

500 K with our inept budget is more than adequate to make up for the people that would attend a noon game vs. a night time kick-off.

What are we looking at? Is it the difference between 15K and 14K? I'll take the half a million dollars in that case.

Ok...I see what you are saying. And you are probably correct, an extra 5000 fans even (that is the gap I am guessing would be more in line between a noon and an 8:15 start) - wouldn't make up for us spreading them wide & dry for a night game on ESPN.

Don't you know that weather is no excuse for poor attendance? Clearly this is all Burman's fault and just another example of why this program is such an embarrassment

What the hell is all this talk about attendance? I'm more concerned about the cold weather effect on the quality of play and how it affects the players. The players have to enjoy playing and not be punished just because ESPN says suck mine.

Are you going to clutch your pearls and hysterically declare that you don't want to be a Wyoming fan and try and get some poor saps to valiantly try to stop you?

Or is this one of your posts to show that you're unbowed against the internet haterz?

Nevermind, it doesn't matter. You pass out strong takes and you don't need no validation for them.

I don't think the subject of this thread is Burman's fault. He's done enough in his time here to fuck up the athletics department to the point of blinding the average fan to the fact that Wyoming has only won two regular season conf. championships in fifteen years and none while he's been here. We should definitely give him more time.

There are legitimate reasons why Tom Burman should be out of a job as Wyoming AD. Just like there are legitimate reasons why fans won't show up to watch a game in late November in Laramie at 8:00 at night and be less than thrilled about it. I'm just glad that the West Coast (and myself) will be able to see this game on primetime espn.

Curious as to why you feel so good about WYO first half? The NM game? If I had to guess I'd say line would be BSU -6.5 1st half?

Well I am glad it will be cold, hopefully that plays into Wyomings advantage because we know the crowd won't.

Won't even be 15K at the football game. Probably not even 14K.

Just checked...wind chill will make it 10 degrees in Boise on Wednesday. Not like Idaho is Arizona or something. They're used to it.

Attendance will likely be awful, but not unexpected.

For the record, if any of you have the energy to scream your lungs out for two sporting events in one day and plan to brave the weather in the evening, you are the true definition of a Wyoming Cowboy.

Several reasons, my man.

Wyoming coming off bye.
Bohl coaching his team as if they're playing for a bowl.
Boise defense this year is less than stellar and they're coming off SDSU and going into Logan the next week.
Tape from UNM game.
Tape from SDSU game.
Atmosphere around campus should (might) give the players a boost. Also playing on espn so big portion of their friends and family can see them.
And stupid me, no matter what, I still hang on to the hope that Laramie in winter will somehow give Wyoming some tiny bit of advantage. I keep being proved wrong over and over again but even a blind hog turns up an acorn now and then.

Wyoming getting any points in the first half is what I'm hoping for.

Last time Bohl had a bye to work with, he lost to Hawaii and made Ikaika Woolsey look like a Heisman winner. I'll need to see more from him before assuming he'll be great off the bye. I fear rust may be more likely.
