Not Recruiting this year?

I just talked to my father today, who gets the Casper newspaper. He said that it mentioned that the coaches were not going to be recruiting hard this year. Is that because the coaches know that they are going to be gone or what else could it be? I don't think that the football team can take anymore hits this year. It's going to be hard to recruit when you don't win games and it will be even harder to get good athletes to come here when we don't have anyone going after them. Has anyone else heard about this?

I believe the article (posted by PokeTransplant yesterday) stated that the coaches were not going out on the road to recruit during this bye week. We can all draw our own conclusions on what that means...personally, why should they go & spend a bunch of UW's money recruiting...what kid really wants to commit to coming here, knowing a coaching change may happen? It is a waste of time & money.

It is a known fact that there are not a lot of verbals right now, nor have there been even remotely the amount of visits this fall (compared to years past). The writing was on the wall earlier than we all thought I am sure...
