7:00 PM MST - N Carolina Cent (1-1, 0-1 away) @ Wyoming (1-0, 1-0 home) - Arena-Auditorium, Laramie, WY

The Cowboys look for a win at Arena-Auditorium on Wednesday as Wyoming welcomes North Carolina Central. It gets started at 9:00 EST. The Cowboys come in at 1-0 overall. The Eagles maintain a record of 1-1.
Wyoming is an overwhelming favorite. Wyoming has home-court advantage. They're 1-0 at home while North Carolina Central is 0-1 away.

Wyoming returns players that gave them 44% of their total minutes last season and, even though expectations are lower this year, they should still pull off a win here. Meanwhile, North Carolina Central returns 54% of their player minutes, and is not expected to be an improved team.

Wyoming vs NCCU (2011-2012) & Wyoming vs NCCU (2012-2013)

Afam Muojeke was on a roll against Cal State Bakersfield scoring 31 points. That was the 1st time Afam scored 30 or more points in a game at Wyoming. He went on to score 30+ points 1 more time during his career.

That was awful.

I know better than to post during a game (especially one I can only listen to), but...uggh. We just jack up three's on offense and leave an open door for them on defense.

The only saving grace in the first half is that we have done a decent job on the glass (of course, not many NCCU rebounds to worry about since they are shooting 60% from the field and 90% from the line).

Hey Wyo2dal if sign up for an account on Ustream, can I bypass the commercials?

Well we came out playing hard in the 2nd half and picked that lead right back up. So it's good to know that we do have that depth it's much better than I thought it would be I mean sure it's not some super power team but still. They are playing hard and that is what really matters.

Wyo 73 - NCCU 60 not a bad showing in that 2nd half I like that they played hard all game long and just had a mediocre ending to the 1st half.

I'm not real sure how the commercials work. The main reason I am using ustream is for those that are trying to watch/listen to on mobile devices and tablets that do not support flash. I could easily stream to a site that has no commercials at all but it would require people have flash compatible devices.

Wyoming needs to go down low more to Washington and Nance. A win is a win though. We should keep improving every game.

Definitely worried about the lack of production in the paint on offense. Nance and Washington were great on the glass but we need more out of them on offense (especially Larry, Leonard had 17 tonight so I guess it would be crazy to ask for more).

Having said that, the main problem tonight was defensively. Willis in particular had his way with the Pokes. We also struggled with ball handling down the stretch when NCCU notched up the pressure.

On the plus side, both Adams and Haldorson had some nice contributions, particularly Adams.

I agree. With having to listen to it on the radio I can't tell for sure but it sounded like the guards just weren't feeding it inside to Nance or Washington as much as they could have and just kept settling for 3's. Sounded like they could have fed it to them more and Gilmore could have taken his guy off the dribble all game and dish off to those guys down low.

We do sound like we have some guys who can shoot though and some nice contributions off the bench. Just got to improve every game.

Adams is hardly a slasher he takes some bad shots (freshman shots) no one attacks the rim, Leonard and Nance don't get the ball on the block hardly at all. There were instances tonight where Leonard would have position and we would just swing it across the court, it makes no sense. The offense needs to be ran through him, instead of him creating his own points on boards etc. I still think Sobey, the Aussie should play a lot more he is a very good offensive player from what I have seen. Not totally impressed with our boys so far.

We don't run any type of offense again... If we don't get an open three early or a run out we run the shot clock to under 10 and take a bad contested jumper.

I didn't say Adams is our slasher now. I said he will be our slasher... Again its a matter of when.
The way the kid has played in the past, indicates that he can and will be a slasher. Not through 2 d1 games? No. But he has played 2 games give him some time...

And maybe Leonard isn't taking everything over right now because blowing out NCCU isn't our biggest priority right now.

We play these crap teams so our team can get better, not so we can win by 50 points a game. By the time MWC play comes along, you can guarantee that Leonard will be the main focus of our O.

And our O isn't that shitty. Just taking an open 3 or waiting for under 10 seconds to throw up a garbage shot.
Give it time.
