We have more good news, though, even though it might be easy to forget. We have a bruising halfback named Tedder Easton. Even though he didn't have that many carries, he showed that he's HARD to pull down. Even though he might not break any 25+ yard runs, having somebody who WILL get 2-7 yards on any given carry where the line isn't pushed around is a great thing, especially for a spread offense team that has a tendency to stall in the redzone.
Also, actually being able to limit the run game means teams HAVE to pass a bit - that means Fresno State and Air Force won't blow us out without even trying, at least.
Smith not being suspended means we have an actual chance to win in any given game remaining on the schedule, though

And DC has him listed as 4th on the depth chart today? Is that a smoke and mirrors for an opponent.

Good news there for Smith. And Easton is a bruiser, along with Thompson. Those two are like bulls, big, strong, and will run into you just to prove that they can.

Agreed. 4th and 1, my money is on Easton or Thompson with Lange and/or Quinlan in there on a Goalline set. Hindsight, and easy to say now that we know the results, but I wish we would have gone for it with one of these bruisers.
Good game guys, keep it up. I like mixing in a Goalline look on first and second down every now and then just to mess with the defense, and keep them honest.

I've been talking about the lack of a big back for a while. Muhammed did well last year, but if you notice what kind of backs really punish Wyoming, its the big back. Maybe we can deliver some back!

Not sure how accurate that is, but now that we've got these guys some game experience, can we expect better performances? Sure hope so.
