This is one of those head scratchers. I'm sure the Mets completely researched Nimmo and Sandy Alderson (Mets GM) knows what he's doing. However, aren't the Mets one of the poorest teams in baseball? Plus, the article in yesterday's WTE said that Nimmo was asking for a $2.5-3 million signing bonus. The Mets must feel they can and are willing to pay up.
