Nice game, great turn around

Cougar fan here. Nice game. Loved the don't quit attitude. Season ticket holder for several years. Always picked to go to the Wyoming games as a kid when I only could go to one or two a year because I liked the uniform scheme and you guys always played tough. Nice to see the program turn around and commit to a long term deal with coach bowl. Good luck in the future, hope to see some home and homes in the future with you guys and maybe coming out to Laramie (preferably in September) for some football and fishing!

No joke. They trash everything about our state, but will fish and hunt here.

Thank you for the kind words, CBJ.

I laugh when I read the crap on Cougarboard or MWCBoard from the BYU fans trashing the state of Wyo, but you can bet that all of the trail heads in the Winds are going to be full of cars with Utah plates come summer.

Nothing but respect for the outdoors. Don't care what state. This is America. Greatest land on earth. God bless what we have out here in the west, truly a special place. Take nothing but photographs (and the occasional fish for dinner) leave nothing but foot prints. Going to La barge (spelling? ) in the spring. Any hints?

I don't much care for cougar board myself. I visit and post on cougar corner more often under a different moniker. More realistic folks there. Cougar board is nothing but zoobs and trolls and the scary thing is you can't really tell who is which.

I'm a cougar fan who grew up in utah but travels the west looking for hard fighting fish, iconic scenery and whiskey. So far I found that I really enjoy fishing the Missouri, exploring the wind river range and the nice Boise fans who bought me drinks at the bar wearing my cougar gear after they kicked our asses in 2014.

I see a fair amount of Wyoming and Nevada plates at trailheads here too. But the one that scares me is California lol

Anyways that's my :twocents:

Like I said before. I hope for good things for your program and look forward to playing you guys again. If you are down this way and need some advice be sure to hit me up!

BTW. Where is this picture from??

Pleasant BYU fan who drinks whiskey, compliments our colors, and calls a lot of BYU fans zoobs and trolls.
Jesus, as if Trump winning the election, the Cubs winning the World Series, and the Raiders making the playoffs wasn't enough.

Nah can't be real. I bet it's just Dino trying to get back in with us.

Why can't more BYU fans be like you Cougsbroncsjazz? Last night was a solid game played by both teams. But, seeing posts by BYU fans about how they gave up when they had the lead or how they should have won by more is silly talk. Give each team some respect, and you'll get respect in return. Not sure why many BYU fans walk around and act like they are better because they live in a bigger city than some (I live in Denver, so not all) and come from a more populous state. Most of the smack borders on the absurd.

It is refreshing to have good fans, like yourself, come to this board and not act like acejonsey (who we see more of than fans like you unfortunately).

Enjoy your time in Wyoming. That picture must be somewhere in the Wind Rivers. My backyard growing up in Lander.

Go Pokes!!

Just trying to show everyone that the bronco mentality at BYU is just a sample of fans. There are jack Mormons everywhere in utah that had fond memories of BYU football growing up and realize it is only a game. Truly want to change the world? Don't be a pompous ahole. That's all it takes.

Thanks jimmy. I think more BYU fans are like me than you might think. Unfortunately the rest have Internet access and think the wit transfers.

Why don't you leave the dark side and join us? ha ha.

I root for you guys...except for last night.... Appreciate the style of football you guys play.

There was a wide receiver (#23 I think) back in the day next can't remember his name. He was a beast. I used to have an early version of college football on Playstation. It was more of a demo and our only had a few teams. But Wyoming was included and I could only play against Nebraska. #23 was my go to guy!

I try to collect hats wherever I visit. Might have to add a cowboy hat to my arsenal...but my heart is with the cougars. Such great memories growing up going to the games. Detmer winning the Heisman against Miami, 4th &18 vs Yewtah, lavells last game and so much more. Spent that time with loved ones that are no longer with us. Great lasting memories.

Those lands are everyone's lands. I am a huge proponent of the whole "public lands in public hands" ideal. Sometimes I just get a bit selfish about my mountains. The amount of use at the Big Sandy trailhead at the southern end of the Winds woke me up a little bit this year. I could not believe how many people were using it. Not just Utahns, but greenies and Californians as well. Closest parking spot was nearly a mile from the actual trailhead.

I haven't explored around La Barge Much. The Wyoming and Salt River Ranges have eluded me so far. It's definitely on my list. I would say getting up into the Greys River Valley would be a must if you're in the area. Make sure to report back on your trip!

Looks like you guys have a few pretty nice home games this year, and a couple pretty tough ones down south. Good luck in 2017.

The photo is from my trip to Slide Lake above the Green River Lakes in the northern Winds over the 4th. Impressive area - lots of Mosquitoes!

Slide lake is now on my list. I'll bring some off with me.

I get the "my Mountain" thing. Had one growing up. Got so popular I had to leave it alone for a decade. Went back a few years ago and fell in love all over. It has lost the charm it once had but it is peaceful again as the crowds have left out alone.

I'll also add Grey's to the list. Been putting in for an antelope tag in the unit for a few years now. No luck.

The home schedule is what alot of fans have been waiting for. Utah, Wisconsin, Boise are the highlights. Get miss. St. Again as well as LSU in Houston. Another front loaded schedule to try and survive.
