Next round of realignment just started

Why does everyone have their panties in a bunch about this? We know there's virtually no chance of Wyoming getting called up and, in reality, we won't be in a materially different position once it all shakes out. Just sit back and enjoy byu's anguish as they wait for that call that never comes.

As sad as this whole conference shuffle / musical chairs crap is...you may be right, rooting for bWHYu's demise may be the only thing to root for.

Boise is good as far as football is concerned, but abysmally terrible at everything else. Academically they are little more than a junior college. They bring very little national appeal and practically zero in media market. I don't think the major conferences will want anyone that doesn't at least bring some monetary value to the table.

Stick, I agree. Realignment right now is about ability to generate revenue. Even thought Boise is very good, they just dont have that much to offer in the way of market, or marketability. I think TCU is sort of the same. I dont see anyone in the MW right now that has much to offer with the possilbe exception of maybe AirForce. AFA doesnt itself generate much, but I think people like the idea of them in their conference and people would certainly show up to watch them.

However, outside of football and wrestling, Air Force doesn't have much. And even if they went to an AQ conference, they'd still have to recruit the same kind of kids that they do now.

To much doom and gloom people. Wyoming will be fine and the MWC will most likely be untouched. If there is a movement to 4 super conferences, who from the MWC is good enough for the upgrade?
Boise State

Fundamental misunderstanding of what drives conference realignment. BSU won't be going anywhere, no matter how good their FB team is.

As long as it benefits Wyoming, I could care less how big the MWC gets.

Very happy to hear they haven't talked to BYU. They better not even consider it either! :tickedoff:
