It used to be stepping stone to bigger jobs Wyatt, Dickens, Devaney, Akers, Dye, Erickson and Tiller all moved up as Head coaches. Some like Shurmur, Dimel and Lewis had successful careers as well. Bohl was hired in part with idea he would not leave unless he got the Nebraska job.

It really is sad how far the athletic department has fallen.

I'm surprised we didn't hear anything from Burman or maybe I missed it.

Burman is hiding in a dark corner somewhere hoping no one recognizes him. We might hear from him, if the MBB team has success. He doesn’t have to answer any questions, if he remains obscure.

Note - Edmiston is the only guy I would rank as elite. Seems he could go anywhere he wants but where else will he get as many opportunities to punt?

No longer do I let the transfer portal make an impact on my fandom. It is what it is, and now, we get to see how Sawful will reload to replace, as what is likely going to occur every single season. I don't care for the quitter mentality, and some of these fine folks will never see a FBS field again, but in the NIL world, can't blame them for chasing the money. Long term, most of them will never make the NFL, Canadian League, or even similar...and they will have pissed away their NIL cash.

And as for NIL - most of them will never work the graveyard shift to pay for school and try to study and sleep in between classes as an investment into the future only to be asked to donate the hard earned income to supplement the players.

Or more as the days pass and the portal opening looms...looks like he is failing there as well. 13 players as keepers, and lost 6 or 7 now (half). What a dogshit situation Wyoming athletics is in!

Transfer portal will be Wyoming's saving grace when it moves on from Sawvel. Just like the Wyoming basketball team was able to put together a team together after the Linder debacle (albeit 1 year later due to Linder's timing of leaving) so too will Wyoming football.
