From footballscoop.com:

Wyoming: We hear University of New Hampshire wide receivers coach Derek Sage has joined the Wyoming staff

NH runs a wide open offense and our current DB coach use to coach there. Looks like a good move to me I'll try to get more info on this guy.

here is the bio on the new WR coach:

Derek Sage enters his fifth season as the coach of the UNH wide receivers. He was instrumental in the development of All-American and All-Conference receivers, including All-American wide receiver David Ball. Ball is UNH’s leader in career receptions (304) and receiving yards(4,655). Ball also went on to become the NCAA leader in TD receptions with 58 in his career, breaking Jerry Rice’s previous record of 51. Sage also worked with 1st Team CAA selection Keith LeVan, who is second all-time (201) on UNH’s receptions list and led the CAA in touchdowns receptions in 2007. He also mentored 1st Team CAA selection Mike Boyle, who led the CAA in touchdown receptions in 2008 and finished his career with a 16 yard-per-catch average. Sage came to UNH from Nevada, where as a graduate assistant he helped coach the defensive backfield in 2003 and the wide receivers in 2004. Under his tutelage, Nicheron Flowers was ranked sixth in the nation in receiving with 91 catches for 1,136 yards and six touchdowns. A native of Nevada, Sage played for Sacramento City College for two years (Conf. & Bowl Champions) and then transferred to Cal State Northridge (CSN), where he was a two-year letterman at tight end. A graduate of CSN (2002), Sage earned a degree in Kinesiology and coached his senior year at Moorpark College (Calif.) working with the offensive line and tight ends. Moorpark won a conference title and was a bowl champion.

I wonder who is taking over the assistant coach position. Sounds like we have a great coaching staff. Now if we can just build up the roster depth a little.

UNH has always had a good passing game, and David Ball was an excellent receiver. He'll make a good addition to the Cowboy coaching staff.

Most of the same info that Wicks put up. Some additional info. Couldn't find any listing of UNH recruits. It would be great if he could bring a WR recruit with him to Laramie. Oh well.

a kid i know is a WR at unh..graduated in 08 from Liberty in Bethlehem, Pa. Joey Orlando. hell of an athlete and hell of a WR. His dad is Bo Orlando, current coach for the Liberty Hurricanes, played 8 years in the nfl as a db.

They already have his info on the CoachChristensen site. Hammer info is off, but he is still in coaches group shot. Moving forward...i like it.
