I have to admit that I would not be sorry to see Mr. Burman given his walking papers. IMHO he destroyed our men's BB program. Yes, we had a winning season last year, but what would Brandy, Dees, McClain, or any other halfway good coach have done with the powder puff schedule we have had the past several years? Is not having a winning conference record in men's BB since Mr. Burman has been here acceptable? As I recall he said were were going to win conference crowns and get into post season (since the CBI didn't exist at that time I assume he meant earn our way in not buy our way in).
I am, and always have been, more of a BB fan than FB although I have had season tickets to both until the past couple of years. I can understand how season ticket holders would be upset when Mr. Burman runs "a promotion" selling season tickets for less than half what those who bought them earlier paid for them. Sure they may not be in a good section of the stadium, but then I imagine some of those earlier purchasers of season tickets have seats that aren't what one might consider prime seats. Guess I am old fashioned in that I believe that if you have the product people wish to see you don't have to have schemes to get them into the seats; kind of feel the same way about recruiting and upgrading facilities -- I believe if you have the product and a winning tradition recruits will want to come to a program to be part of that program rather than because the institution has luxury boxes, etc.
Know that I am in the minority on this board with my feelings about Mr. Burman but I can assure you that there are quite a few people (Wyoming fans) out there -- were maybe 40 or 50, as I recall, that weren't happy with Mr. Burman's decision to give Mr. Yentes(?) his walking papers (in the Boomerang website under the article where they fired the track coach).
