Plugging a real good player like Waylee into a bad offensive system might result in a few more points but I don’t see it changing the dynamic. I’m expecting a 38-27 type ‘high’ scoring game which we haven’t really seen in a while.

I'm thinking 34-17. Our OL is not good and our Defense is backpedaling.

Mendenhall has New Mexico headed in the right direction in his first year there. Sawvel has nearly destroyed everything Bohl built in a single offseason.

I doubt this game will even be close. I think New Mexico wins this by 21+.

He was hired by New Mexico several weeks before Bohl announced he was stepping down. But I’d have to believe Burman knew long before that Bohl was stepping down.

Also probably worth mentioning that he was New Mexico’s DC before he went to BYU and was already connected to their program.

Umm, Bronco was hired within a day or two of Bohl's announcement. Certainly interviewed and was in negotiations before that but ink wasn't on the paper until the 5th or so. Offer him what we were paying Bohl and we would have been in the market.

Of course Bohl and Burma had different ideas.
 
Bronco Mendenhall in Laramie? I don't see it. The fan base is too anti BYU and half of the fan base thinks he went to school there. (Oregon State is his alma mater.)

Yeah, I agree.

He is a good coach, but I don't think he would be a good fit at Wyoming. He played at Snow College before he transferred to Oregon State.

I think you guys are right at the initial hire. However, if he succeeded here, I'd doubt it would matter. If he pulls a PBJ, fans would be irate. If he won 6 games or so, they'd forget about the byu connection.
 
Will be coming down to kinda work it with a friend, but mostly to reunite with a long lost UW alumni friend that we lost contact with each over for the past 25 years, he lives just South of ABQ and we'll catch up watch our ass whooping and eat some awesome Green Chile...just hope Pokes find a way and prove me wrong!! Fun visit regardless my 6th visit to University Stadium
 
Excited to see Anderson get a full game worth of work. Hopefully he won't feel like he has to be looking over his shoulder all game. We will finally get to see what Anderson has got. Road game against semi-decent/kind of crappy opponent. Waylee will certainly help.
 
Happy Football Saturday! Just wanted to stop by and say hello to fans of my favorite MWC team and fan base, outside of UNM of course!

Really looking forward to today’s game, and praying for no injuries for both our teams today! UNM is coming in pretty beat up, having lost quite a few players to injury, especially at the running back, linebacker, and wide receiver positions.

I’d also like to invite any Wyoming Cowboy fans to come to our new Lobos fan site, and post about the game real time with us, it would great to interact with you guys there as well!

Also, safe travels to and from the game, for any Wyoming fans coming to the game in Albuquerque!

I think you're right. The narrative around PBJ would have been a lot different. It's just UNM but looks a lot better.
