They have a better shot than CSU. Atleast from the PAC 12's perspective. Obviously the PAC already has cu, but when they were the PAC 10 a guy involved with PAC expansion explained to me how New Mexico (followed by UNLV) were looked at much higher than a Boise or BYU. (CSU obviously not even on that radar).

Still boggles my mind that the MWC wants to sit around and wait and hope things work out. MWC is the conference that should be looking to improve. Not wait around and hope it doesn't get picked apart.

Why not? The Big 12 sounded the horn. UNM has just as good of a chance as the Rams, slim to none. The Big XII needs need s*it or get off the pot at this point, though.

Wyoming and their athletic department must be sand bagging and waiting for just that right moment to declare our intent to join the Big 12!! I'm sure that's the strategy...

Seriously though, if CSewe is not extended an invite, they still are getting more traction and free press than they have - ever (EVER). And all the while, UW is seen sitting around and hoping that no teams leave our shitty assed conference so we can still thump our chest beating (er, uh, losing) to the likes of San Jose State, New Mexico, and Hawaii.
