New Helmet

Has anyone seen these? I just started watching the DC show and this is in the background. Wonder when these are coming out? They look like they have some sort of leather finish to them. url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/71092910@N04/9669565640/]

Looks like a HGI sticker in the bottom corner of the helmet. For those of you that don't know, HGI does Oregons helemets and pretty much all the cool new helmets out there.

I like those new helmets a lot. We could see them this week, uni combo is gold pants, brown jersey, and brown helmet.
 
Those are terrific. I could see us wearing them against CSU.

Dave is usually secretive about those. Surprised they did that for the show.
 
Watch the end of the program again when they show the game uni....I believe that those are the helmets we will see on Saturday...

I don't think so. Those at the end look darker and that is on display in the rack. I talked to players and they had never seen the helmet prior to me showing them the pic.
 
These are not the brown helmets that we currently wear! The ones we have are "flat brown". Haven't seen this one before. I have been in Mad Dog's office and there is no sign of them. If we were wearing them this week he would be working on putting them together, decals, facemasks etc.....
 
Just my opinion, but I think they are ugly as hell.

I had a sofa / loveseat set, that was the microfiber / leather look - in brown. Reminds me of these helmets. That furniture sucked.
 
That helmet definitely ranks as one of the best I have ever seen. If we don't wear it this weekend, I do see us wearing it at some point this season. Probably the border war.

They doing the state flag logo for the Border War this year?

Also, just curious, how long does it take to "convert" a helmet.. from one helmet decal to the other and get it ready for game week?

Most of the week. Each helmet has to have the decals put on them (more than just the Bucking Horse), and in many cases because of fit, interior pads must be changed form one helmet to the other. Not to mention the previous week's helmets must be stripped buffed and re-assembled. This must be done in addition to getting all of the uniforms laundered and distributed to each player. When they show up on game day they have a laundry locker that has everything that they need in it ready to go. Mad Dog's staff does an incredible job! The players are very well taken care of.
