Wow, the designers nailed it! I think this is the best looking field in the country!

I don't think it would have been possible to use the Tetons in the same way (too steep).

Plus the Tetons are on the wrong side of the state to use in Laramie! Maybe Jackson could use them on their new LaCross Fields! LOL

The Tetons are a state icon much like Devil's Tower which btw was on the state license plates in the '90, I believe.

Really? :winky: It was more a play on the new LaCross fields in Jackson than on UW's "War"

So when you think of the Grand Tetons you don't think Wyoming? Or visa versa?

:? "What we have here is a failure to communicate"....What I was implying was that the Tetons might be more appropriate for the LaCross fields in Jackson that they are building....which happen to not be very popular with their FB coaches. Maybe I need to work on my "snideness"

Part of the Teton range is in Idaho so theoretically it could be an Idaho Landmark as well.......

That would be news to me. I used to work at Grand Targhee, which is about 5 miles inside Wyomng. The Tetons are another 10 miles. The Tetons are the most beautiful mountains that can be viewed from Idaho, but they are not in Idaho.

I said the Teton "Range"....never worked there but I was referencing Google Maps.......... Part of the range North of Driggs appear to be in Idaho. Maybe not the Tetons themselves but certainly part of the range.

Ok....Ok.....the Tetons are a majestic, beautiful, landmark that would have been a great backdrop on the new Jonah Field. Let us not take away from the fact that we have a new surface coming to Laramie that is going to be freaking awesome! maybe we could consider using Flaming Gorge next time! BWaaaaaaaaaa I am sorry I had to..... :D

Getting some national pub now: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/05/wyoming-football-field-photo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I like it, and I'm glad to see the logo in brown and gold. Looks a little less like it came out of a Tron movie.

But I still think the whole thing would look better in the "prairie gold" of the late 90's-early 2000's.

Crucify away.

GO POKES!

So maybe we are all wrong.... turns out those mountains are indeed suppose to be the Tetons! Ha Ha.

They don't look like the Tetons.

No they do not.

Aside from the mountains, an underrated upgrade is the field itself.......the old turf started to look faded out last season. This one looks sharp!

I edited my post when I took a closer look at the "mountains." I can see how the designers may have used the Tetons for their "mountains" inspiration. Clearly those arent the Tetons to scale though.

Either way, the design is awesome! I can't wait to see it in person.
