Hearing some great things about the new field design. It will be alternating pattern (dark green light green), great Steamboat logo in the middle of the field. The endzones will be brown with the words "Wyoming Cowboys" in old western style writing. Its the top of the line in what these Field turf fields are. Should be pretty cool, and yes the MW logo is the right color.

means? Towards the end of the basketball season, I noticed that UNLV and SDSU had the MW logo done in red and black, and wondered why we didn't have that done. I'm hoping you're saying that the MW logo will be brown and gold on our new field. I think that would look sharp.

I believe its being installed at the end of april. I'll walk across the street and snap some pictures - hell maybe even while they are installing it.

I thought I heard somewhere it will be brown and gold, can't back that up but heard it from a few sources a few months ago.
 
Any word on when this project is set to begin? Obviously the field has a couple inches of snow on it now. Just curious because I haven't heard any news

Intersting. But I like it. Especially the smaller "Jonah Field".

I like it, but it would have looked better with the colors reversed in the end zones. Tried to photoshop it, but the picture is too low res.

I don't think it would have been possible to use the Tetons in the same way (too steep).

Plus the Tetons are on the wrong side of the state to use in Laramie! Maybe Jackson could use them on their new LaCross Fields! LOL :rofl:

The Tetons are a state icon much like Devil's Tower which btw was on the state license plates in the '90, I believe.
