Jamar Cain from Cal Poly. Well he knows what he's getting into after watching Cal Poly's O run at will on us last year.

Cal-Poly had the #33 ranked rush defense in FCS and the #57 ranked team defense.

Not impresssed. Then again, maybe UW only had like $25,000 in the budget for the position after giving Rahl a raise (which he deserves SO much).

Could be a good coach, but definitely don't expect any ridiculous turnarounds for the defense next fall. I'm expecting similar to results to 2011/2012.

I've said it before and I still stand by it. Any given team is 80% player talent, 20% coaching. With borderline talent, coaching can make all the difference. But talent can also make up for bad coaching and it can also make a good coach look bad. I don't really put much into numbers and rankings when it comes to coaches, especially position coaches.

But, I guess that's all we have to go off of to form any sort of opinion at this point...

I'm softening some. Been reading a lot about him. I guess time will tell, but I think he was hired for one reason. Recruiting. Cal poly had some strong polynesion pipelines. Maybe this is a good thing.
