Shyatt let them attack and it it paid off. Not too much of wasting the clock and hucking up a shot
Shyatt was encouraging them to attack during time outs. At one point he was exclaiming "I don't care if you get your shot blocked x amount of times, drive [or something to that effect]. Anyways, watch Shyatt in time outs; he has the team's attention. This team is a reflection of Shyatt.

I missed the game, is there anywhere online I can watch the replay?

It should be available on gowyo.com/videos pretty soon, or on themw.com. It doesn't look like the replay is available yet, but it should show up at some point.

Usually it's up pretty quickly, that's why I asked.

All you saying, "Where are the haters now?" need to chill. Was there one person at half that was painting a rosy picture? No. People who maybe felt we *could win were silent observers, waiting until they felt comfortable in throwing mud at people who had doubts. Great win by the pokes, but to sit and here and say "eat crow" is silly.

If I would've bet people at halftime the pokes win this game, most would've bet me. Those who wouldn't have were too scared to admit it.

Shyatt and players calling out fans for being "bandwagon fans" at half is b.s. The team sucked balls the first half. That's a fact. Doesn't make us bandwagon for seeing shi#ty shooting for 20 mins.

Butt slaps and daffodils all around.

I hate when he does that. Fans are allowed to have opinions and be bummed and upset when HIS team plays under expectations. He should focus more on what happens on the court than what happens off of it. It makes me aggro when he says shit like his comment about getting us Kansas season tickets.

Damn right butt slaps and daffodils. We just got a road win without the best player in the league. That deserves some butt slaps.

Honestly, why is it hard to admit that all you screaming "the sky is falling" just might be wrong? It's fun to watch a bunch of cry-babies get put on mute by the Cowboys "lack of depth".

You can't blame people that are smart enough to NOT post a bunch of negative garbage when things don't look good for holding those that do's asses to the fire. You should expect it.

Get your crow. You earned it.

There's a difference between "we're a poor team" and "we're playing poorly." Believe it or not, good teams can play poorly.

I don't mind admitting that I overreacted at half and getting called out for it. Comes with the territory. Most of us have been wrong a time or two, it happens to everyone.

My only caveat, is that I don't really agree with an attempt to create a divide in the fanbase between those deemed to be the true believers and those of insufficient faith. This isn't a Heath Schroyer situation where you had significant factions that supported him and significant factions that wished he never set foot in Laramie. Most people like Shyatt and are only expressing frustration over a bad stretch or concern about some tendencies in the program (perceived or real). There are always emotional posts during game threads/discussion, don't let it snowball into something bigger than that.

In terms of Shyatt's comments, I blame twitter. We have been having gameday emotional meltdowns on message boards for well over 10 years, but now with twitter it shows up in the coaches and players twitter feeds. It's one thing to know that somewhere in the bowels of the interwebs someone is complaining about your team's shot selection, it's another to have one of the assistant coaches or players show you some comments that are being made on their twitter feed. Makes the criticism more immediate and personal. I know they could have found them before, but it was easy to avoid. Not so easy to avoid now.

Nom nom nom.

The sky isn't falling. Never said that. That first half was putrid. No arguing that.

I would agree. A message board really is a place to voice opinion, concern, frustration, even accolades. The keyboard kings now suddenly laying on the, "I told you so bs" is laughable. If you think we are doomsdayers, call us out at half. Not post game.

I guess in summary, we all love the Cowboys or we wouldn't even be discussing this. But, just because some are more vocal doesn't make them any less of a fan. Each person handles winning/losing differently. Instead of kicking the neighbor's cat, I sometimes vent here. (Fyi, I said one thing at half tonight saying that half was pathetic. I stand by that still)

Glad to see Hankerson decide to step up. He has been in a funk for the ages.

I think shy has made a great adjustment these last two games. He ditched the slow pace crap and let the kids play. Kudos to him for recognizing that it wasn't working and let the kids play

Think the tempo will slow back to normal when Nance is back or do you think we are looking at our new permanent offense?

I personally hope he gives the new tempo a shot when Nance returns. If we can score 51 in a half without Nance, how much could we score with him on the floor? :D

It's not like Nance isn't athletic. If Grabau can run it for 36+ min, Nance should be able to come in and run it. If the guards keep slashing to the hoop, it'll open Nance up even more. If they the defenders keep on Nance, they'll leave an open hoop for Josh, Riley, or Hank.

HUGE WIN, GREAT COMEBACK, wow oh wow, I didn't turn on the radio until the 2nd half and saw that halftime score and I thought, oh boy come on guys, but I decided to listen and man was I glad to do so!!! This is a huge road win and overall win for our program, Nevada panicked and such but there was NO reason we shoulda been losing to a bad Nevada team, but man did it change and you could just feel the air go outta their sails. Huge win, huge game, use this 7days off to fix up everything and let's make a serious end of season and MWC tourney run, cmon Larry get healthy and let's do this.
Can't wait until Feb 25 to see my boys again.
Sooooo stoked, what a game

If you look at earlier in the year, we pushed transition hard and only backed off if it wasn't there. I think we've played too passive and coach shy made the adjustment and the team has responded. I don't think we'll see the exact same offense when Larry returns but I think papa shy has more confidence to let them play.
