NDSU @ WYOMING, Sept 13th, We coming!

Every year it's the same thing, I'm not saying everyone, but a lot of our FBS opponents fans and such look past us. It's the same old thing, "WE DONT LOSE THESE TYPES OF GAMES". Then look what happens. NDSU beats Minnesota, Central Michigan, Ball St.. hmmm... what a surprise it's happening again. We will have another solid team again next season and I am expecting the same result like I did against the U of M and CMU, another BISON WIN. Keep underestimating the Bison, it only fuels the fire...

Please..... more telling than the wins mentioned above are the other wins your NOT mentioning. At home you beat Stephen F Austin by 9 and Sam Houston State by 3 - Whoooppie! But you did manage to beat Cal Poly by 3 on the road - good job!! (do they even had a football team? was it a intermural club team?) And, as mentioned before, you LOST to South Dakota State!!!

Your playing the "we get no respect" card against the Division 1A leader in snubs. Other schools may overlook you but we understand your point of view far too well. In fact, your about to start fueling our fire. Go ask the Virginia Cavaliers how their months of trash talk worked out for them.

I am so stoked for this game! I think the Bison will have thier work cut our for them. The key to the game will be how a new starting QB leads this team. Can the Bison fill the hole left by the graduation of Steve Walker........stay tuned folks this will be fun.

By the way.....daughter going to WYO....and the old man a NDSU Alumnus.....it is time to start the FAMILY FEUD!!

No reason to bring Cal Poly into this. The answer to if Cal Poly has a football team is YES. Cal Poly has been ranked in the top 25 of the FCS the last four years. In 2005 the finished the year at 6th. Cal Poly has also knocked off a Mt. West team. In 2006 Cal Poly beat San Diego State on the road by two. Just for comparison sake, Wyoming beat SDSU by three at home in 2006.

NDSU is a very physical team and it should be a great game. You will also appreciate the great Bison fans that will make the trip.

I don't think I'll make the game in SLO, though, sounds like a nice place to visit. My girlfriend was going to go to school there until I talked her into coming to Montana and going to UM. Sounds like a nice offer though. You guys are the ones that put the horseshoes up in Reds Bar, aren't you?

Seriously, no offense meant to Cal Poly.

A lot of Wyoming fans will only recognize Cal Poly San Luis Obispo's Rodeo Team as they usually send an nice group of athletes to the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper. Sorry NoDak's, I don't think you guys rodeo very well either.

I was nice in my earlier posts on the topic, but I had just got done visiting the NDSU site and was a little fired up after reading what they had to say about us. I am just so excited about my Pokes and for the upcoming season, I had a bad moment, and I wasn't being myself. Your right, no reason to bring Cal Poly or the others into it. That's not what I do. I will try to refrain from smack and just talk football with my Pokes friends from now on. I will just smile if we win and congratulate them if they win, in true Poke fashion. Besides, I need to tone it down, or I will blow a gasket before Utah and CSU come to town. I really hope Kyle Whittingham gets whats coming to him - oops there I go again.

Anyone know what the Pokes Spring football schedule looks like?

That's right! Horseshoes in the Mo Club! I actually saw them there a few weeks ago. I didn't know about the helmet though.. very cool! Hopefully the Montana fans that come to SLO show up ready to have some fun tailgating.. that's what we do best.. and play a little football.

OK, kind-a smacky whacky on this thread. I can see why the Bison faithful are so confident, their transition to FCS has been remarkable, and it is a quality program. Would bet Joe's long term familiarity and respect for NDSU had something to do with this match, maybe the Barta connection played in as well.

That being said, the Bison will find the atmosphere in Laramie, hostile. It may be the meanest place they have been for a while. Udub must not take them lightly or an unpleasant afternoon may ensue.

Boys will not take them lightly though, Joe will not let them. My all important and well respected prediction for this match would belong on the smack board, so I will not post it here.

Oh good grief. Obviously this game is the game of the season for the NoDaks and we could really care less. Let them smack all they want because we know they all have small penises. Little man syndrom extraordinare. Football Championship subdivision??? good god, they are so microscopic they needed to call Division 1AA somethin fancier. Its like the moron at work that has to have a title so long it won't fit on a business card. I'd prefer to talk about something more important like how we beat real football teams, not D1AA patsies. "OHHHH, da Y-O-ming guys are dissing us" -- You're darn straight we are. We are Division 1, you are not, there is a reason for it. You had great luck last season but if you truly had a D1 caliber team, you'd be a D1 team, not a D2 team. How well NDSU does will be closely tied to the performance by the new QB....Mertens. If he can pick up where Steve Walker left off last year (Walker graduated) the Pokes could be in for a very long day. If the QB situation doesn't work out for the Bison......the Herd will have a long day. I could see this one going either way.

NDSU Spring Practice is off and running.

Spring Game at Fargodome April 26th.

Team looks solid, lots of confidence, the new QB will define the season in my opinion and Nick Mertens will be a stud! former Minnesota Player of the Year.

The running game will be the strong point of this club and the defense will be aggressive!!
