NCAA wrestling thread

WOW!!! THE TABLE IS SET FOR MEREDITH!!

Joey Ward (#7 seed) was pinned by Hathaway of Oregon State. Meredith had lost to Ward earlier this year and will now face Hathaway in the Round of 16...

with a win...Meredith would likely face former teammate Kevin Jack in the quarterfinals (a rematch from last year when Meredith got the win)

It's totally random when and where the wrestlers go. Could be mats 1-8 for any of them. It just depends on how fast and in what order the matches ahead of them finish. My dad and brother are in St. Louis and he's keeping me updated :cool:

ESPN3 has the session schedules. Templeman and Meredith will wrestle early in the session as lightweights.

I had a meeting and couldn't watch but hate to see a wrestler lose by giving up near falls on bottom and no other points. Sometimes means the wrestler was just lazy trying to clear bottom.

Dang! Tevis should have wrestled in college.
 
Good start for Meredith, gets the 1st period takedown and accumulates over a minute of riding time. Up 2-0 going into the 2nd period.

Just got a reversal, make it 4-0 Meredith.
