The Lakers Spanish announcers have coined the name "The Space Cowboy" for Larry.  Personally, I love it.

That's hilarious. I like it also

Wonder if Larry has seen it yet

Per a Laker reporter (Serena Winters): Byron Scott on Larry Nance, Jr: "I think if we were to redo the draft, he'd be a lottery pick."

This dude just keeps lighting it up. Love it!

Watching the Lakers game tonight and Nance has been the Lakers best player on the floor. He is everywhere doing everything. He has a couple alley oops and a almost a couple of others. He is stealing the ball and rebounding.

He is going to be an All Star at some point. I am calling it now. He is all over the place.

I'm going to make a prediction.....

Dunk contest!

I know most of these he does aren't contest dunks, but the name combined with the Laker brand make me wonder if he'd be a darkhorse contestant.

Yeah he could be. He might wait until next year though to make sure his knee is completely healed since the doctors said it takes two years to fully heal a torn ACL but maybe he will compete this year.

Yeah true but I was thinking he may just wait an extra year but you are right he could compete this year.

Even though it's a Larry thread I just have to say.

Meta World Wasted Roster Spot.

They need to put Larry back in.

I would imagine he is invited to the rookie challenge game. Maybe the dunk contest as well.
The tough thing is that those games are limited to 9-man rosters. The rookie class is loaded in the post with Towns, Porzingis, Okafor, Portis all drafted higher and flashier numbers than Nance. I don't know if he'll be able to squeeze onto the rookie challenge team this year.

As for the dunk contest, I've actually campaigned for that on an NBA forum and gotten some support from other fans. Still a longshot probably, but I'm hoping the name recognition and the Laker brand would be enough to catapult him into the running.
